Waiting on Wednesday [17]

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:
(Saints of Denver #1)
by: Jay Crownover

Sayer Cole and Zeb Fuller couldn’t be more different. She’s country club and fine-dining, he’s cell-block and sawdust. Sayer spends her days in litigation, while Zeb spends his working with his hands. She’s French silk, he’s all denim and flannel.

Zeb’s wanted the stunning blonde since the moment he laid eyes on her. It doesn't matter how many smooth moves he makes, the reserved lawyer seems determinedly oblivious to his interest—either that or she doesn't return it. Sayer is certain the rough, hard, hot-as-hell Zeb could never want someone as closed off and restrained as she is, which is a shame because something tells her he might be the guy to finally melt her icy exterior.

But just as things start to heat up, Zeb is blindsided by a life altering moment from his past. He needs Sayer’s professional help to right a wrong and to save more than himself. He can’t risk what’s at stake just because his attraction to Sayer feels all consuming. But as these opposites dig in for the fight of their lives, battling together to save a family, the steam created when fire and ice collide can no longer be ignored.

Comes out in January 5th! If you loved Marked Men, then keep up with Saints of Denver, cuz this will be hot. Just how I like it! What are you waiting on?

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:
(Defy #3)
by: Sara B. Larson

At last, Alexa and King Damian are engaged to be married. But their lives are far from safe. The kingdom of Antion is under siege, and Rylan is a prisoner of the enemy. Even worse, Alexa remains at the mercy of the evil Dansiian Rafe, who controls her mind and can force Alexa to kill or harm Damian at any moment. Despite this, Alexa is determined to rescue Rylan, which soon leads her far from Damian and deep into enemy territory.

When she arrives, what awaits her is deadlier than anything she could have ever imagined: an army of black sorcerers, and a horrifying plot to destroy the world as Alexa knows it. Will she be able to gather the strength to free herself, protect the love of her life, and save the land? Will there ever be true peace?

WOAH! I need this book like NOW. Been waiting for it ages and I need to conclude this series that I love so much. Why isn't 2016 here sooner? It comes out on January 5th. UGHH! What are you waiting on?

[R] We Were Liars, by: E. Lockhart

We Were Liars
by: E. Lockhart

★★★☆

A beautiful and distinguished family.
A private island.
A brilliant, damaged girl; a passionate, political boy.
A group of four friends—the Liars—whose friendship turns destructive.
A revolution. An accident. A secret.
Lies upon lies.
True love.
The truth.

We Were Liars is a modern, sophisticated suspense novel from National Book Award finalist and Printz Award honoree E. Lockhart.
Read it.
And if anyone asks you how it ends, just LIE.

[AUG, SEP, OCT & NOV] Book Challenges Wrap-Up!

Well, at the beginning of the year I became kind of nuts and thought about entering of almost every reading challenge I saw around, and I did. The first months were divine, but then my senior year of university began and all get down the toilet. That's why I haven't read much or updated my blog constantly. I'm deeply sorry for that. But I'm half back now because classes are ending and Christmas vacations are around the corner, which means a lot of reading for me and the hope to end all these challenges.
So, basically to keep track and letting you all know how good or bad my months were, I did these monthly wrap-ups. January wrap-up post is here, February's here, March's here, April's here, May's here, June's here, July's here and if you want to see and you can found the list of all my challenges here. THESE BELOW are only the updates of the months of August, September, October and November. December will be published later on when the month is almost ending.
