[R] Bounty, by: Kristen Ashley

Bounty
(Colorado Mountain #7)

★★★★★

Justice Lonesome has enjoyed a life of bounty.

Even so, she’s inherited the curse of the Lonesome. A poet’s soul. Which means she’s still searching for something. Searching for peace. Searching for the less…that’s more.

And when the foundation of her life is pulled out from under her, grieving, she goes to the mountains to find her oasis. She hits Carnal, Colorado and decides to stay.

Deke Hightower lost everything at the age of two. He lost it again at fifteen. His life has not been about bounty. It’s been about learning to live with less, because there’s no way to get more.

Deke’s also watched all his friends go down to the women who gave them what they needed. He wants that for himself. But he knows that search isn’t going to be easy because he’s a rider. His home is the road. That’s the only place he can breathe. And the woman who takes her place at his side has to do it sitting on the back of his bike.

When Deke meets Justice, he knows she’s not that woman. She’s cute. She’s sweet. And she’s into him, but she’s got it all and Deke knows he won’t fit into that. So he holds her at arm’s length. Establishes boundaries. And Justice will take it because she wants Deke any way he’ll let her have him.

But when Justice finds herself a pawn in a dangerous game, Deke makes a decision.

When he does, he has no idea he’s just opened himself up to bounty.

OMG, guys! You know how much I LOVE KA books, so loving this one was an easy job. I was so ready to read about Deke and how he was going down the road like the others. This book was just perfect. The perfect bounty to, us, the readers.

Aclaration point! When the author and me say the word bounty, we are not referring to the paper towels or to the chocolate. Bounty comes from the latin bonus, which means good. And the definition, in my words is something that was given or won that is really, really good.

If you read the previouses books, you might remember Deke as the guy who comes always from the road, who never stays in one place for a long period of time and a mountain man that doesn't really want to settle. It all changes for a split of second seven years ago, but shit happens and is not until those seven years later that he finally founds his bounty. Justice "Jus/Jussy" Lonesome is Deke's bounty, but he really doesn't know it at first. But Jussy always have known that Deke was hers. But seven years is a long time. They must find each other again, because their bounty is just too fucking perfect to be lost.

Jussy is the typical girl that KA writes about, and I cannot stop loving them. They are witty, hilarious, and once again, we got a "rock'n'roll" girl. After her father died, she was looking her perfect bounty, so she bought a house almost in the middle of nowhere, but a house that was not actually finished. There's only one man for the job, and that is Deke. She recognizes him instantly, but he does not (or at least not that fast). Sparks has always fly around them, but Deke has his head in his ass. But, really, is obvious everything was going to clash between them and they would find their perfect.
"Only roots I want, me in you, you in me," he said quietly.
I loved Jussy's chapters, but Deke's were the best. He did not say much, but fuck, whenever he talked he said the more caring words ever. I want a mountain man all to myself, dammit. Plus we see so many cameos from other books and series in this book that I was SO SO happy with it all. What I'm confused about is the fact that at the end of this book it says that the next book will be the last and it will be about Wood and Maggie. I don't know if you remember, but Wood is Ty's boss and he owns a garage. We saw, in Ty's book, that Wood had some problems with Maggie, but at the end everything was peaches and cream, right? Even in this book, Wood was happy with Maggie and viceversa, so WTF I'm going to read about about them. I wish to read about another one, but Wood? Hell no. Let's see how KA forms that book and you'll see if I read it or not.

ANYWAYS, guys. You love romance and you love other books of KA... Read this one! You'll love it, as much as I did. Read me later!
