4 of 5 stars

Young interior designer Ava O’Shea has an appointment for a first consultation at The Manor with the owner, Mr Jesse Ward. She is expecting nothing more than an overweight, cravat wearing, well-to-do countryman, and on arrival, nothing would suggest otherwise. How wrong could she be? This Man is devastatingly handsome, charming and confident. He is also a conceited, hedonistic playboy, who knows no boundaries. Ava desperately does not want to be attracted to him, but she can’t control the overwhelming affect he has on her. Every instinct is telling her to run, so she does, but Jesse Ward is not so willing to let her go. He wants her and is determined to have her. She knows she is heading for heartbreak, but how can she run when he won’t let her?

Oh Man! I know that its not good to compare, but this book is so much simlirar to Fifty Shades of Grey. As the same with those books, prepare for strong language, sex scenes and in this review SPOILERS.

So many things in common! Let's count them:
1. Main female character name Ava. In Fifty Shades, the name of the main female character is Anastasia, but for short is Ana. See... Ana? Ava?
2. The main male character is rich! In both series they have money to spend.
3. In both series the main male character is fixed with sex and with the main female character. They want them. They treat them like sexual objets, but they are extremly jealous when his woman is: in danger, with clothes very provocative, when she is with other man and etc.
4. The main female characters of both series fall in love with her man. But they don't tell them.
5. Both main female characters have a bff (which both girls live with her bff) female and her name is Kate. In Fifty Shades her name is Katherine, but for short is Kate.
6. The Kates fall in love or more like have sex with... In Fifty Shades is with the brother of the main male character and in This Man is with the bff of the main male character, but they are like brothers.
7. They fuck like bunnies. Every time HE wants, in the form HE wants and wherever HE wants.
8. Both girls work in an office. At least the work is different, as the same as the boys and the Kates.
Okay, I will stop now!

Yes, this book reminds me too much of Fifty Shades, but that why I love it. It have differences too. In this book we see that the main male character, Jesse Ward, have too many secrets. I know that Christian Grey from Fifty Shades have secrets too, but basically he always was straight in what he do and all, the only secrets he keep to himself were the personal and past ones. Jesse is not like that. He doesn't like to talk about anything. And whenever Ava tries to push for info. he changes the theme. Jesse and Christian have very similar personalities, they are very very control freaks. Ava and Ana are similar too, but not that much.

If you did like Fifty Shades, why would you not read this one?
xoxo, sam.
