Ice Study (Study #3.6)

This is a short story about Yelena and Valek as they race to keep the powerful Ice Moon from a rogue magician.
Yes, yes, yes...! Another short story for Study series, but guess what? Its the last one... for now, I hope. This one was not as funny as Power Study, but it have the same or even more action as Assassin Study.
Now Yelena and Valek have a serious problem, why they doesn't? Anyway, Leif have been caught by some rogue magicians and Moon people (yeah, the clan). Owen Moon is trying to find and have in his hands the Ice Moon, which supposed to be his (or that's what he says). The Ice Moon is in Ixia... because it was "gifted" by the Master Magicians to the Commander. It has a very strong power, so much that it can withdraw the whole magic blacket from exitence. Like you are thinking, Owen wants all that power. So he "conviece", more like force, Yelena to help him and give it to him or Leif will be dead. Valek truly helps. He helped so much that he got caught and now both can be dead if Yelena makes a wrong move. Could she save them? Will she still help Owen no matter if he can destroy the magic with the Ice Moon? Read the story.
Anyway, characters. Owen is the bad guy, but we have a bad girl too. Selena, who is Owen's wife, is the one who have Leif and Valek in prison. We see Leif again! I could point that he is kind of different. This family thingy between Valek and Leif is getting stronger, they talk like they are brothers, which you could say that they are. Janco! We see him again, but this time without Ari (which was sad). He didn't have too much lines. To be more exact, just one like. But that single line maybe laugh. Kelav? Seriously, Janco, Kelav? You will understand if yoiu read. As always, Valek is THE badass, no one like him. Plus, we read in Valek's POV. The story is divided in 10 chapters and 5 of those are Valek's. The other 5 are from Yelena. We could say that the POV is Yelek (see what I did there?).
For my last line of this series reviews, for now, will be this one (you WILL understand it if you read the story, if not then you didn't capt the joke very well from Valek at the end): "Ice Moon more like Ice Windows".
xoxo, sam.
"This book is for anyone who has ever lost a loved one, for anyone who has woken up crying and gone to bed the same way, for anyone who has had to learn that it's okay to be not okay. Surviving isn't strength, it's continuing to breathe one day at a time; strength is learning to live despite the pain."
