(Legend #2)

4.5 of 5 stars
June and Day arrive in Vegas just as the unthinkable happens: the Elector Primo dies, and his son Anden takes his place. With the Republic edging closer to chaos, the two join a group of Patriot rebels eager to help Day rescue his brother and offer passage to the Colonies. They have only one request—June and Day must assassinate the new Elector.
It’s their chance to change the nation, to give voice to a people silenced for too long.
But as June realizes this Elector is nothing like his father, she’s haunted by the choice ahead. What if Anden is a new beginning? What if revolution must be more than loss and vengeance, anger and blood—what if the Patriots are wrong?
my thoughts
Hell! I would love to rate this book with 5 stars, but... I really didn't like .5 of this book. Yes, the book escalated quickly, but sometimes they drag on too much.
This time Day and June begin their journey together. The book continues basically after the end of the first one (maybe a couple of hours later). They are going to Las Vegas to find the Patriots. They are happily accepted, but with the only condition that they most assassinate the new Elector, Anden.
They obviously accept, because who wouldn't want to kill someone who makes your life hell. But, are they correct? Being the new Elector, doesn't mean that he is going to "rule" the world. Maybe, it could be different.
The thing is that they begin planning and take action inmediately. June goes as prisioner to the Elector and she follows all the plans to assassinate him. Until, she notice that he is not how she thought. He have better ideas, he wants to change the country and make a strong and happy one. What would June do?
In the other hand, we have Day. Which we see that is very jealous of how Anden is acting around June. He knows that its a show, but still. Also, we have this Tess sister-lover situation. We see and read that she is IN love with him. But he only see her as a sister/best-friend. How crushing! Tess knows this, but she still make her moves. Fortunately, Day stops her. What would June think?
By the way, we see/read some hot scenes between June and Day in this book. They look so cute together. Like the perfect couple.
So many things to say about this book, but too many are spoilers. Whatever... READ IT!
