Fifty Shades of Darker (Fifty Shades #2)
by: E. L. James
5 of 5 stars
Daunted by the singular sexual tastes and dark secrets of the beautiful, tormented young entrepreneur Christian Grey, Anastasia Steele has broken off their relationship to start a new career with a Seattle publishing house. But desire for Christian still dominates her every waking thought, and when he proposes a new arrangement, Anastasia cannot resist. They rekindle their searing sensual affair, and Anastasia learns more about the harrowing past of her damaged, driven, and demanding Fifty Shades. While Christian wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia must confront her anger and envy of the women who came before her and make the most important decision of her life. Erotic, sparkling and suspenseful, Fifty Shades Darker is the irresistibly addictive second part of the Fifty Shades trilogy.
Review with SPOILERS ahead, so be warned!
Like my review of Fifty Shades of Grey, this review may contain "adult words" and I cannot make a review of this book without saying spoilers so you have been warned.
While reading this book and the one before this one, I have notice that I'm quite obsess in finish this series, not because its boring (because its not), nor that they don't have action (because they have), but because I see a pattern and I really want to know how this series end.
Christian and Anastisia are a really strage, weird, problematic and lovely couple. Most of those problems are thanks to him, but she doesn't get that far behind... she likes being in trouble. In this book, we see a begging Christian, a passionate Christian, an in love Christian, an overprotective (with reason) Christian, and other things that maybe you may have read or not if you want to read my spoilers.
They still fucking almost three or four times every chapter, but in this book something change. I quite not point what... maybe that Christian finally accepts that he is in love and he do not fuck anymore, he makes love. Do not fret, friends! We still see our Dominant Christian sometimes, not too much, but its better than nothing. Our little Submisse Ana is always there and very forgiving.
Almost in the last 8 chapters or so, we see a Christian who wants to marry Ana. He ask her so many times and her answer was always like "I need time", and hell okay that she have the right to have time to think about it after the huge bomb (secret) he told her. He told her that all her submisse look alike, because of her mom (crack-whore). Oh God!
This couple... they obviously cannot live without each other, so thats why Ana accepts and tell him the YES as his birthday gift. Very emotional!
If you are 18 or over, read it! Its very romantic too.
xoxo, sam.
