[R] Wallbanger, by: Alice Clayton

Wallbanger

★★★★★

Caroline Reynolds has a fantastic new apartment in San Francisco, a KitchenAid mixer, and no O (and we’re not talking Oprah here, folks). She has a flourishing design career, an office overlooking the bay, a killer zucchini bread recipe, and no O. She has Clive (the best cat ever), great friends, a great rack, and no O.

Adding insult to O-less, since her move, she has an oversexed neighbor with the loudest late-night wallbanging she’s ever heard. Each moan, spank, and–was that a meow?–punctuates the fact that not only is she losing sleep, she still has, yep, you guessed it, no O.

Enter Simon Parker. (No, really, Simon, please enter.) When the wallbanging threatens to literally bounce her out of bed, Caroline, clad in sexual frustration and a pink baby-doll nightie, confronts her heard-but-never-seen neighbor. Their late-night hallway encounter has, well, mixed results. Ahem. With walls this thin, the tension’s gonna be thick…

This incredible book is the most funniest I had read in this year and maybe my whole life. I swear, I cannot remember another book that make me laugh so hard. I do remember some books that made me laugh sometimes, but not like this one. You laugh in every single parts, including the end. Thumbs up, up, up for Alice Clayton.

The first chapter hooked me very well. I mean, because if it were an essay, the first chapter would be the first paragraph which contains the hook. That’s why I say that the chapter hooked me well. The following chapters were more even more hooked. I seriously couldn’t put down this book. I, obviously, did at times and even more times that I should, but oh well, life is hard. But you get the idea. Not reading this whole book in one sitting was hard. But the last 17 chapters were read in one sitting. I love it! I love everything. The love story, the funny parts, the characters and Clive.

That cat was like a main character, for real. He even have a full part of himself. I like when things like that happen and more when they are very funny. About the title: Wallbanger. That title is totally literal. The main male character is the wallbanger. The story begins with he banging the walls and ends with he doing the same, but with the main female character. Simon and Caroline, perfect couple. They are perfect for each other. The story of O and everything was just hilarious.

I really recommend this book to every 18+ people. You will laugh so much that it will hurt. SO YES! Read it, like now this instant. *thumbs up*
