Sweet Surrender - By: Maya Banks

Sweet Surrender (Sweet #1)
by: Maya Banks

4.5 of 5 stars

Under Faith Malone's deceptively soft exterior lies a woman who knows exactly what she wants: a strong man who'll take without asking - because she's willing to give him everything...

Dallas cop Gray Montgomery is on a mission: find the guy who killed his partner and bring him to justice. So far, he's found a link between the killer and Faith - and if Gray has to get close to her to catch the killer, so be it.

Faith is sweet and feminine, everything Gray wants and desires in a woman, but he suspects she's playing games. No way would she allow a man to call the shots in their relationship. Or would she?

Faith sees in Gray the strong, dominant man she needs, but he seems determined to keep her at a distance. So she takes matters into her own hands to prove to him it's no game she's playing. She's willing to surrender to the right man. Gray would like to be that man. But catching his partner's killer has to be his first priority - until Faith is threatened and Gray realizes he will do anything to protect her...

my thoughts:

How do I begin? Yeah, first of all, this book is more people with more than 18 years old, if you are not in that your then go home and wait for your birthday party. I do know kids that read this stuff, but please if you are don't do it. There are other more fun books. I have my reasons.

Maya Banks is a really good writer. Maybe you know that I have already read books of her and give them the five stars. She is that good. BUT (always a but, right), this book doesn't have something that I cannot point too well. The writting was good, the characters, the POV and the plot. Now, the End (as always) was not my favorite. I really hope to read about Gray and Faith in the next books, but I really don't know.

So... the book! Making the story short, Gray is/was a cop until his parthner, Alex, was murdered and his father parthner, Mick, make a vow to find the killer. Playing the guilt card, Mick introduces Gray in his plan. The plan was: (1) that the killer of Alex was the boyfriend of Celia Martin, who is the mother of the other main character, Faith Malone. (2) Gray was going to introduce himself in Faith's life and obtain all the info about his mother boyfriend. (3) He was going to trap him and maybe kill him.
Now, Faith... her love relationships have been a totally failure. She wish for something to take the control of her life and "fuck her senseless". When Gray comes to her life, he is exactly what he was looking for. In other hand, she become upsets because her mom is calling her, after a year without talking to her, and asking her for money, which is the only think Celia can do. Celia keeps denying to help her, until her mom's boyfriend, Eric Sammuels, decide to take the situation in his hands and threat her.
Finally, while waiting, Gray become more interested in Faith, and vicecersa. They want each other, so so bad, that they need each other like air to breathe. Gray has create his relationship with Faith full of lies and now, Faith is total danger. Can he protect her against all? Including his own lies?

I really like the book. It's not so long and make me laugh a lot. I do want to read the following books now, so let's see what I do.
