It has rained a lot since I read these books. If I mixed things up, I am sorry. But I'll try to make a general review more than an individual one. For my sake and yours.

Chaos Motorcycle Club

Overall Rate: ★★★★¼

People are supposed to read this series after reading book number four of Dream Man, Motorcycle Man. The main male character in that book is the president of Chaos MC, Tack, and in that book all the characters from this series are introduced. Plus at the end of that book is where the first book of Chaos begin, the story of his daughter, Tabby, and a member from the club, Shy. Then the other stories are connected slowly and perfectly.

What is not to love with KA characters? I mean, all of them are just perfect. The men are what my dreams are made of and the women are just like I want to be when I grow up.

OWN THE WIND
Now, of this book I remember shit. What I remember most was the struggle of Shy. He loved her above all, but the club was in the middle of his happiness. Tabby wanted everything with him, but was scared deep inside. These two were totally romance overboard, that's why I love. Other than that, I remember nothing else. Just bits and pieces.

FIRE INSIDE
Lanie, Lanie, Lanie... She just made mistake after mistake and when finally, she founds something worth, she just doesn't want to? WTF. I remember being mad at her a lot for everything she said. I hated that Hop felt conflicted with everything. He is just the sweetest sugar of all and Lanie just kept making mistakes. Finally, the end was magical, just like KA loves to give.

RIDE STEADY
These two were more than perfect. The story. Everything. Joker is and will be my favorite forever. He definitely raised my standards in men. I loved the moments when he and the baby were just like father and son, even though they weren't. Their little family was the best. I hate Clarissa's ex, but then everything was good. I really loved the end.

WALK THROUGH FIRE
I cried my eyes out with this book. There was so much pain! But they kind of deserved it because they didn't follow the first advice in any relationship, communication. Still, I cried so much for them. It was a really sad story, but with the perfect happy ending. These two deserve the world after everything they went through. Millie is hands down the strongest female character I have read so far.

Somewhere I read that there was going to be three more books of Chaos, which I am waiting. But I am afraid of the stories that are to come. There's something going on between Black's widow and a member of the club that has my stomach in nuts. Plus, this whole street war might not end in something I would like. I hope to read a book of Tack's son. Those two are my predictions, but if there's another book I don't know of who that would be. I just want everyone happy.

Waiting not so patiently for more KA books.

ARC August... not ready, but coming!

I have seen these things for a while and I started to wonder why wouldn't I participate. I may suck at read-a-thons, but a whole month to read all the books you want? I am totally in. Plus, they have to be ARCs? Whoa, take my money (not literally)!

My dashboard in Netgalley has 26 books that I have yet to read and review. Most of them have been there for a long time (which means that I may not be the perfect person to get accepted for more arcs). I am going to take advantage of this ARC August and try to read at least 12 of them, but let's be real... If I read at least six, I am going to throw a party for myself.

The following books... well, all of them are already out there. I just need to read them and get them out of my never ending tbr pile, thank you very much.

Author’s note: Don’t like reckless decisions & unbridled screwing? Don’t love girls that are obsessed with ice cream, rainbows, and unicorns? Don’t enjoy a bit of corny humor sprinkled on top? Then this book is not for you. And last but not least, if you hate cats with giant jewels … Don’t even bother.

I have been in this such horrible reading slump that I'm getting scared of never coming out of it. But I'm a little relieved that I have finally started a book and finished it already. And in a couple of hours! This book may have been what I was looking for. Forbidden things always keep my attention and Clarissa Wild always have been there for me to grant me a happy ending, so... I'm quite happy now.

As the blurb says, this book is about how a teacher and a student broke the professionalism and took their relationship a step further. Thomas is quite a character, but just like any other alpha male... he is a controller, feelings off and with secrets in the dark. But Hailey is not far off. She has secrets herself, but the dark side that Thomas awoke wants more and more. These two are quite a pair, but their secrets are keeping them apart.

It was a good read. What I was looking for. What took me out from my reading slump for a little while. And what made me want to read more asap, of anything. I want to hop in the wagon of reading a lot and staying awake late night just reading. I love their scenes together. Lesley was an annoying character for me, but overall the book was good enough. Light, fast and yes, hot. You'll laugh too! So, yeah... read me later.

I step closer until she finally raises her head and sees me.
Her eyes, hidden under thick lashes, sparkle with enthusiasm as she looks up at me. She playfully bites her lip as I approach, and I reciprocate with an added tongue swipe.
Her brow rises as I place my hand on her hip, pulling her closer toward me.
She hesitates a second, but when the beat drops, her hands slide up to my shoulders, and she starts to dance. The friction between us is undeniable, her ass swaying side to side against my hands. I cop a feel, which she doesn’t seem to mind. We inch closer and closer, her eyes irresistible, but her mouth even more so. When our lips almost touch, her lips part.
“Who are you?” she whispers.
“Call me John …” I murmur.
“John who?”
“John Doe.”
She smirks. “Your real name.”
I twirl her around in my arm and lean on her shoulder, my lips dangerously close to her neck. She takes in a sharp breath of air as my teeth graze her skin, my breath probably already setting her on fire.
“Do you really want to know?”
Slowly, she nods her head.
“Hmm … all right. Because you’re so curious. Let’s do two questions.”
“Two?”
“You ask me a question, I answer, then I ask you a question, and you answer.”
“Okay. Who goes first?” she asks.
“You.” I smirk.
“Why did you pick me?”
“I saw you in your high heels and your tight skirt. I like how you looked back,” I whisper, licking my lips. “My turn. Do you like to dance with strangers?”
“Is that a real question?”
“Ah-ah,” I say. “Can’t answer with a question.”
“Okay. Well, then I guess … maybe?”
“Hmm …”
Her hips grind against mine as we lose ourselves in the music. My body close to hers, it’s almost as if we’re becoming one. We don’t know each other … and that makes it perfect.
“My turn,” she says. “Do you do this often?”
“Yes.”
“That’s not really an answer,” she says.
“Then don’t ask a question that can be answered with just one word,” I muse.
She sighs. “You’re a know-it-all, aren’t you?”
“I just like games and rules,” I say with an arrogant smile. “Last one … What would you say if I took you home tonight and fucked you like you’ve never been fucked before?”
She sucks in a short breath.
I place a hand over her mouth. “Don’t answer yet. Dance with me first.”
We dance some more, my hands incapable of staying off her. As I become heady from the lust, I press a soft, succulent kiss on her neck, which creates goose bumps all over her body. Her body melts in my arms, and my cock stiffens in response.
“I can’t control myself …” I whisper into her ear.
She twists around in my arms again, and we dance closer than before, my hands on her body in places they shouldn’t be. She leans in, so I go in for the kill.
I kiss her full on the lips, enjoying the spicy taste of her drink.
She kisses me back just as fervently, and I take it as a sign to kiss her harder, faster. I show her what’s in store for her if she goes home with me. And right when she becomes needy, I stop, pull back, and let her suck in the empty air.
“Are you game?” I ask.
“Yeah …” she mutters under a heavy breath.
“No names. No numbers.”
“Isn’t that dangerous?”
“Fuck yes, it is.”
“Hmmm …” A smile forms on her lips. “I like dangerous.”
