[Book Blitz] Sweetest Taboo, by: J. Kenner

Sweetest Taboo
(SIN #3)
by: J. Kenner
Release Date: October 4th, 2016
Genres: Contemporary Romance, Adult

All eyes are on us . . . and there’s nowhere to run.
Everyone has their own ideas about Dallas Sykes: He’s a reckless billionaire, a devilish playboy, a man who gets whatever he wants the minute he wants it. But I know the real Dallas behind the money, bravado, and power—and he’s completely, blissfully mine.
We carefully guarded our secrets, and in each other’s arms we sought refuge from our dark past. Our pain became our pleasure, our control within the chaos. But we could only hide from the truth for so long.
Now we’ve let loose our inhibitions and are ready to face the future. And no matter what people think or say, coming clean is its own sweet reward.
Sweetest Taboo is intended for mature audiences.

Top Ten Villains That Deserve An Award

*not in any order*

Sebastian Morgenstern or Jonathan or whatever you wanna call it.
From the Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare.
Status: Deceased
Sebastian was one of those characters that you really, really hate, but then you simply love at the end because it made such a good job as a villain. I never exactly saw redemption for him, until the end where we see what was inside of him. I was very sad to see him die, but he was definitely the bad guy and a lot of people died because he killed them.

Queen Levana
From the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer
Status: Deceased
I couldn't be more happy than seeing this bitch die, for real. She made everyone's life miserable just because she wanted to. She was so so bad, because once upon a time her older sister did something awful to her and she wanted revenge in anyone on front of her.

Lord Voldemort or Tom Marvolo Riddle
From Harry Potter series by JK Rowling
Status: Deceased
I am not a fan of the books, not yet, but damn he was bad. You know that "mort" means death, right? That's how fucked up this guy was. He was pure evil inside, just for the fun of it (power). Thanks, Harry, for killing him.

President Snow
From the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Status: Uncertain
Katniss didn't kill him, because Coin was certainly worst. But still a good villain! He was just so greedy to have the fear of them all.

Darkling
From the Grisha series by Leigh Bardugo
Status: Deceased
Leigh writes so good! I loved the whole series, but the Darkling was her best. He is so bad that I was even tempted to his charms (I really would have fell in his charms if I was Alina). Bad haven't been so sexy as this villain before!

Tiberias Calore VII or you know Cal
From the Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard
Status: Alive, for now
I have not read the other books, but in the Red Queen this boy was the devil's son, for real. He had us all convinced of something and them BOOM stab in the back.

Ophiuchus
From the Zodiac series by Romina Russell
Status: Alive (kind of immortal, but I have faith that he will die at the end)
I was so so mad after the end of the book Zodiac. It made me hate him so so much. I just want him dead, no matter what. Haven't read the second book, so dunno what happened with him after.

Devil
From a lot of series
Status: HE'S FREAKING IMMORTAL
I meant, you know, our little friend Satan or Lucifer or whatever you wanna call him. His all the characters nightmares. He hates humanity, for God's sake!

Government/System
From EVERY dystopian book/series
Status: Destroyed
Why is that the government has something to do in almost every dystopian book/series? I mean, are we, humans, so fucked up to created a system to kill ourselves at the end? The answer is always yes.

Time
From A LOT of contemporary novels
Status: Getting Older (got my joke?)
Basically in contemporary novels the same characters screw their chance of happiness by themselves, but time can be two things: your biggest enemy or your best ally. For what I have seen, time is a backstabbing bitch that doesn't know how to just die. Just read Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver.

Genres: Contemporary Romance, New Adult

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Marked Men books comes the next installment in the Saints of Denver series.

Everyone else in Dixie Carmichael’s life has made falling in love look easy, and now she is ready for her own chance at some of that happily ever after. Which means she’s done pining for the moody, silent former soldier who works with her at the bar that’s become her home away from home. Nope. No more chasing the hot as heck thundercloud of a man and no more waiting for Mr. Right to find her; she’s going hunting for him...even if she knows her heart is stuck on its stupid infatuation with Dash Churchill.

Denver has always been just a pit stop for Church on his way back to rural Mississippi. It was supposed to be simple, uneventful, but nothing could have prepared him for the bubbly, bouncy redhead with doe eyes and endless curves. Now he knows it’s time to get out of Denver, fast. For a man used to living in the shadows, the idea of spending his days in the sun is nothing short of terrifying.

When Dixie and Church find themselves caught up in a homecoming overshadowed with lies and danger, Dixie realizes that while falling in love is easy, loving takes a whole lot more work…especially when Mr. Right thinks he’s all wrong for you.

Wish That You Were Here, by: Florence + The Machine

favorite lyrics: I never minded being on my own, then something broke in me and I wanted to go home, to be where you are. But even closer to you, you seem so very far. And now I'm reaching out with every note I sing and I hope it gets to you on some pacific wind, wraps itself around you and whispers in your ear. Tells you that I miss you and I wish that you were here.

Book To Movie [4]

THE LITTLE PRINCE
[book - movie]

Book Author: Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
Book Published: April 6th, 1943

Film Director: Mark Osborne
Film Release: July 29th, 2015 (France)

For those who haven't read my review on the book, here is it. The book is one that touched me very much, I heard from friends that the movie that was in Netflix was really good and that even made you cry a little. They were not wrong. The movie is the absolutely best. They couldn't have done it better, I swear. People of Earth, you did good. I approve.

I don't want to give much away of the movie, but I have to tell things, right? The movie is not REALLY the same book, because then it wouldn't last much. But the way they made it was the perfect one. There's two or three stories in the movie: the little prince (obviously), the aviator and the girl. These three, somehow, unified and made an end that leaves you in tears.

As I have said before, being a kid is not that bad and the movie show us just that. We see how wrong is to be the girl's mother and how good being the girl really is. We how society wants us to grow up without living our lives fully as kids first.

I loved the animation. I loved how the characters were portrayed. I loved how everything flew so fast (even though is an hour fifty the movie) and so smooth that at the end you are left wondering and wanting more.

My only critic is really to Netflix. I really wanted to see it in French, but they do not have it. Only in English and Spanish, which is good, but is always better to see it in the language that it was made, right?

As I did with the book, I recommend the movie 100%, but you should really read the book first and then see the film, so you get the whole experience good and right.

Brilliant graphic designer Ravi Tandel is ahead of the game—he's just been asked to present a top secret project at a huge conference in Seattle. All systems are go…until he learns his buttoned-up office nemesis is coming along for the ride.

Tristan Jones isn't really the gamer type, but he knows the back end of the video game business inside out. Together, he and Ravi will give an awesome presentation. If they survive the cross-country trip first.

Tossed together in close quarters, Ravi's shocked to see Tristan's sexy, softer side emerge from such a conservative shell. [R] #Bae, by: Cambria Hebert

#Bae

(Hashtag Series #7)
by: Cambria Hebert

★★★★★

Happily-ever-after.
That’s what happens when you get married.
Right?
Turns out sparkly rings, cake and a fantastic wedding do not automatically grant you that, not even when it’s all you truly want.
I’m even starting to doubt the bottomless, unconditional love I share with the man I married will be enough.
I can’t have happily ever after, know why?
Because I can’t give Romeo what he truly wants. I’ve tried. So hard. I won’t be happy unless he is and something is missing. Someone.
Paparazzi are in my face. The flashing cameras and prying eyes are everywhere. My secret is getting harder to hide, and I know the second the scoop is dished the grip I have on the fraying rope of that happily ever after will snap right in my face.
In our face.
I can’t let that happen. No matter what.
Because with or without a happy ending, Romeo comes Before Anyone Else.
