After a disastrous car crash outside New York City, Ridley Duchannes--Dark Caster, Siren, and bona fide bad girl-has gone missing. Her wannabe rocker and quarter Incubus boyfriend, Wesley "Link" Lincoln, was driving, and when he comes to, Ridley is nowhere to be found. The only clue is the giant raven emblazoned on the hood of the truck that hit them, which can mean only one thing: Silas Ravenwood is back. And he has Ridley.

Determined to find her, Link reunites with old friends John Breed and Liv Durand, his New York bandmates, and the mysterious Lennox Gates--who has his own reasons for tracking down Ridley. Together they travel through the Caster Tunnels and the Deep South to New Orleans, where they uncover the truth about the infamous Ravenwood labs and exactly what Silas has been doing within those walls. By the time Link and his friends reach Ridley, she is no longer the Siren they know and love. She's something new. This time, love might not be enough to save them.

MY RATE

The end of this book gave more issues than the ones can handle. It totally broke my heart. Left things inconclusive and, again, freaking wreck me. My heart was broken, but kind of together. Now, it's in pieces and all over the world so they don't get together ever again. My mind is confused and everything is chaos.

This book picks up right after the end of the last one. We were left with that tragic car crash, which was not an accident. Our beloved Siren is in hands of the most terrible person. She changes and then stops being our beloved Siren to become in something more than a Dark Caster, but the Darkest. Our perfect Link is moving heaven and hell to get to her, but how can you rescue a person that can save itself only by being willingly. You know, this book was so fucked up that I'm doubting why it was created in the first place. I wanted a freaking happy ending, dammit. Why I can't have that?

Ridley has always done whatever she wants and that's admirable of her, but when the things she does breaks Link's heart, that's a line you don't cross with me. I love Link that I love Ridley, so that's why I was very excited for this series, I wanted together. It's sad to say that wishes are never fishes, so, we, beggars, cannot eat a meal every day. These authors broke my heart so hard, that I don't even know what to read now to make my day better.

I have to admit that there is a little story after this end. Which is why I am so confused. A Gatlin Wedding comes time after this book and it show us, tada, Ridley. She has a lot of more powers now and her lackey, Nox, is with her. Silas is coming for revenge, but the power of these friends is enough to take him down, once and for all. So, evil aside, the end of the story made me wondering. Read it and you'll feel as confused as me. I want answers, but I think I will never have them.

Seriously, my final thoughts are simple. I was better off without reading these. I was fine with Ethan and Lena's happy ending. I was totally fine with it all, but, noooo, I had to read this book and ruin my happy vision that I had about Ridley. Fellow readers, I suggest you not to read these books, but at the end of the day is your opinion and your heart to break.
