I seriously need to finish this book. I feel like I have been reading this book since forever, so there's that because I kind of had. Is good, but nowadays I barely have sit to actually SIT DOWN and read.

I haven't finished this book, but everything is becoming more magical by the second. Which means that everything is a trick for your mind and whatever you think is real, well, is not.

Here's a comprehensive list of what it means to be mature for your age.

1. You see people through their lens, not yours. So there's less getting offended. Less reactive bullshit.
2. You have perspective but not experience. You know it all shakes out in the end. So small problems are small, and big problems are small.
3. You get cocky because you're mature and you know it. Stupid mistakes are other people's problems.
4. Your body is still a slave to your brain, and if you brain is thinking about grown-up shit, like sex, your body is going to be a hotbed. And if your body matures early... well, follow the yellow brick road. The Emerald City has its legs spread for you.

CD Reiss has this way of sucking me into her books that is magic, I love it.

I am just getting started with this book today, which I'm sure I'm going to finish today too, and I have laughed so many times. I like how Kylie Scott writes, its refreshing.

Yes Please

At three A.M. or so on Saturday morning Amy texted me. "Water broke, Coco! You're gonna do great!"
And that text is pretty much all you need to know about Amy. Instead of focusing on any of her fear, her excitement, or the anticipation that comes with giving birth for the first time, she sent me words of encouragement. And when I went out to do "Update" without her I was glad she had. I was nervous and lovely but I remembered that "You're gonna do great!" and felt better. Amy is rarely wrong.

This book is one that I have yet to read all of it, but I am taking my sweet times because is really good. Now that classes are over I might finish it as soon as I can. Still, fully recommend.

A Funny Book About Horrible Things

I don't understand why people keep pushing that "Don't be some random person. BE UNIQUE" message. You're already incredibly unique. Everyone is incredibly unique. That's why the police use fingerprints to identify people. So you're incredibly unique ... but in the exact same way that everyone else is. (Which, admittedly, doesn't really sing and is never going to make it on a motivational T-shirt.) So none of us are unique in being unique because being unique is pretty much the least unique thing you can be, because it comes naturally to everyone. So perhaps instead of "BE UNIQUE" we should be saying, "Be as visibly fucked up as you want to be because being unique is already taken." By everyone, ironically enough.

Or maybe we should change the message to "Don't just be some random person. Be the MOST random person."

Jenny has me laughing at "Hi", so her books are ones that I will forever recommend.

I have to admit that those words made my heart a little bit smaller. I love Keirran and I don't really think he is the villain, but he does have the kind of friends that mom does not approve. I hoping he will not die and everyone will have a happy ending. When I finish this book, I will gladly say that I finish one of my many favorite series and I will be a little sad of letting them go. Dudes, and dudettes, if you like the Fae, Julie Kagawa write the best of them all. Read them!

I kind of forgot of this so good meme. Now I'm putting more effort on the blog, I will do this. Hopefully ALL the weeks. Let's see how much I can stick to that promise. I will open the book Winter Town, by Stephen Emond.

Evan found himself placing any observation of Lucy into one of two categories: Old Lucy and New Lucy. Sarcasm was borderline, but he'd give it to Old Lucy. New Lucy was moodier and quiet, and, dare he says, emo. It amused Evan to know how much she'd hate it if she knew he was thinking this. She'd probably give him a bruise somewhere. That's so Old Lucy."I'm just being a bitch," Lucy said."'S all right. I miss your bitching." It was definitely better than the long stretches of silence."It'll get old. Trust me."

I read this book long time ago. It is kind of a graphic novel, is cute, but I kind of disliked the end. Whatever, that's my page 56. See my next post of this meme next week, crossing my fingers that I can do it.

It's one of my firsts times doing this! And I will try do it as often as I can. Enjoy my snippet of: Twisted, by Emma Chase.

He hands me the Robinson folder. "Okay. Your investment strategies got them all quivery. They're wet and spread-ea-gled, just waiting for you to nail them." 

His imagery is slighty disturbing. 

"That's gross, Drew." 

He's unperturbed. "You say tomato, I say tomahto." Then he kisses me quickly. "Go get'em, killer." 

He walks away and I head into the conference room to seal the deal.

That's my page 56! I'm having trouble to read this book, but I'm getting there. The first book was so much better, because it was in his POV and it made me laugh more than hers. What are you reading?

"How many Believers were actually Raptured, thought?" I ask. "I was hoping they'd have an exact number by now."
"I can give you the exact number," says Grandpa Grant. "It's a big fat zero. Nodoby was Raptured, Vivian. There's no such thing as a Rapture."
"I meant, you know, how many people disappeared," I say quietly, cowed by the disdain in my grandfather's voice.
"I'm sure they'll have a more exact number at some point," my grandmother says dismissively. "For now, why don't you get some rest? We still have a ways to go before New York."
I lean back and shut up.

That was at page 56 and I'm now 123 pages in. It's not that interesting, but I will not give up. I mean, in some point it has to become interesting, right? I hope so.
